8 Christmas Gift Ideas for Home Bakers and Cooks
Every year Jeremy asks me what I want for Christmas and my birthday, and every year I canโt really think of anything off the top of my head. Obviously, if youโve read any of this blog, you know I love cooking and baking. If youโve known me for a while, then you know Jeremy does NOT. So it is incredibly difficult for him to know what kind of kitchen accessories to buy for me (instead, he often resorts to socksโฆ I believe I got socks three years in a row for a while?). If you are like Jeremy, looking for gifts for your favorite home cook, look no further. Iโve got you covered. Here are EIGHT Christmas gift ideas for home cooks!
Christmas Gift Idea #1: Cookbooks

I do have a solid cookbook collection, but I also love checking out cookbooks from our local library. Itโs great because
1. I know if I really will use the cookbook and
2. I donโt have to buy them.
Itโs doubly great at Christmas because now thereโs plenty of guaranteed successful gift options. My personal recommendations: Cravings by Chrissy Teigen, the first Magnolia Table cookbook, Bravetart, and my newest obsession โ Sister Pie.

Christmas Gift Idea #2: Aprons
I loooooove cute aprons! Even better when they come in matching kidsโ sizes like these ones I got from Target.

Wouldnโt they be a cute Christmas gift for a mom who likes to bake?
Christmas Gift Idea #3: Kitchen Towels
I know everyone has kitchen towels, but not everyone has CUTE kitchen towels. Thereโs so many cute designs out there, and you can never really have enough. My favorites are from World Market.

Christmas Gift Idea #4: Wok
I feel like a wok is one of those kitchen tools that doesnโt often make an appearance in an American kitchen, even if youโre Asian. I remember I made do with my frying pan for many years. But a wok is SO much nicer. The Joyce Chen brand is typically considered the best.
Christmas Gift Idea #5: Bamboo Steamer
Along the same lines as the wok, a bamboo steamer is not typically an โessentialโ kitchen item, even though I find it SO USEFUL! I use it for pretty much all my steamed mochi recipes and of course the baos. I actually could use more myselfโฆ
Christmas Gift Idea #6: Embossed Rolling Pin
Now weโre getting fancy! A laser cut rolling pin is DEFINITELY one of those fun little baking extras. I donโt even have one myself! But I would love one! They automatically add a cute design to your roll out cookies! You can find some during the holiday season at some major retailers, but thereโs also a ton on Etsy.
Christmas Gift Idea #7: Pastry Board
For those of us who donโt have a lot of counter space, a pastry board is really useful. Where else will you roll out all your cookies and pie dough? You can get a silicone one with measurements printed on it or a pretty marble one that stays cold for pastry. Again, I do not have one of these *hint hint*
Christmas Gift Idea #8: Serving Tray
Iโve been obsessed with looking at charcuterie boards and party trays on Instagram, but Iโve yet to attempt one myself. Mostly because I donโt have anything to put them on. That would all change if someone would get me a nice wood serving tray. *winks at family members who are shopping for me*
I feel like shopping for kitchen accessories can go on forever! But these are my picks. What are yours? Anything I missed?
My dad pulled out an old Korean propane single-burner stove, and Iโve been using it with my wok several times a week lately. Mind-blown! Now I know why people are obsessed with gas stoves, lol
Oh yeah it makes such a huge difference with a wok! Iโm thinking of getting one of those burners for hot pot hehe
I miss our MC doing hot pot once or twice a year. Maybe by next fall *crosses fingers*
