Easy Egg Drop Soup
When our family goes over to my grandmotherโs house for dinner, thereโs always a pot of soup ready on the stove. Likewise, I usually have a soup dish whenever I make a Chinese family-style dinner. Iโm not sure if this version of egg drop soup can be counted as authentic Chinese. Maybe itโs more of a Chinese-American hybrid. Either way, itโs super easy to make. Only four ingredients needed and can be ready in five minutes!


Easy Egg Drop Soup
Ingredientsย ย
- 1 can creamed corn
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- salt
Instructionsย
- Heat chicken broth and creamed corn in a pot on the stove until boiling.
While stirring the boiling soup, slowly pour in the beaten egg.- Add salt to taste. Thatโs it!

Of course, you can use homemade chicken broth. I usually do. Just use equal volumes of chicken broth to creamed corn. This recipe can easily be doubled as well.
