Best Korean Skincare Products at Sephora

You guys donโ€™t realize that having Asian beauty products at Sephora is like a dream come true for me. When I was in high school and college, I literally had to go to Asia to get Kbeauty for a good price. But these days, it seems like everyone is obsessed with Kbeauty these days, and I AM HERE FOR IT!

However, I do want to clarify a few things before we get into the post. Sephora carries many lines that claim to be Korean beauty or Japanese beauty. BUT, many of these companies are only Asian inspired brands that are owned and operate in the US. For example, Tatcha is known as a โ€œJapanese beautyโ€ company, but it is owned by a Taiwanese American. Now, thatโ€™s not to say that these companies are any less good than the ones from Asia, but I do feel that I want to make a distinction between the two. For the purposes of this blog post, I will only be reporting on beauty brands that were founded and operate in Korea or Japan. For Korean beauty, Sephora carries six lines. However, five are all owned by the same parent company of AmorePacific: Innisfree, Laneige, Hanyul, Aestura, and Sulwhasoo. The sixth Kbeauty brand that is not owned by AmorePacific is Beauty of Joseon.

Best Innisfree Products at Sephora

Innisfree is one of the OG Kbeauty brands that Iโ€™ve been using since high school! Theyโ€™re the more affordable of the AmorePacific brands. One of their most viral products is their pore clearing clay mask. This is my absolute favorite clay mask in the entire world, and Iโ€™ve literally been using it for over a decade. I also really enjoy their green tea line of toners and moisturizers. Lastly, their sunscreens are generally pretty nice, going on smoothly and with minimal white cast.

Best Laneige Products at Sephora

Laneige is another Kbeauty line that Iโ€™ve been using for over a decade. Itโ€™s more expensive than Innisfree but not quite in the โ€œluxuryโ€ beauty price range. My two most favorite Laneige products are their lip sleeping mask and water sleeping mask. They are SO. HYDRATING. With the lip sleeping mask, I NEVER wake up with chapped lips, even in the winter. Itโ€™s miraculous, honestly. The water sleeping mask very similarly keeps my skin so plump and moisturized, but without feeling thick or greasy.

In recent years, the Laneige cream skin toner has attained viral popularity. I bought a bottle myself and have to say, I totally understand the hype! Itโ€™s really great if you have dry skin while still being very lightweight. I layer it as the first step in my skincare.

Best Sulwhasoo Products at Sephora

Sulwhasoo is more in the realm of luxury skincare and is very popular with the mom/grandma crowd. Their products are inspired by traditional Korean herbal medicine and specifically are known for their ginseng skincare for anti-aging. Although I like Sulwhasoo products, be forewarned that the ginseng scent can be pretty strong. My favorite products are their first care activating serum and their overnight sleeping mask.

Best Korean Makeup Products at Sephora

Like with the โ€œJapaneseโ€ line I mentioned above, there really arenโ€™t any true Korean makeup products sold at Sephora. While brands like Laneige do sell makeup products, they arenโ€™t offered at Sephora.

Other lines at Sephora claim to be Kbeauty, but theyโ€™re really Western companies that are Kbeauty-inspired. While their products look fun, I do think that their color ranges, opacity, and other features of the makeup trend more towards Western beauty standards than Asian, so I wonโ€™t be blogging about them on this post.

Best Beauty of Joseon Products at Sephora

Beauty of Joseon has been known to be very popular overseas, much more so than actually within Korea. However, I still remember the days when I eagerly awaited for my BoJ products to ship internationally. I really enjoy their Day Dew Sunscreen, their Glow Deep Serum, and their Dynasty Cream.

Hanyul and Aestura

As I mentioned above, Sephora now carries the Kbeauty brands Hanyul and Aestura, which are both owned by AmorePacific. I have not tried any of their products, so I cannot in good faith give a recommendation for them. AmorePacific is a pretty trusted company, however, so I would guess their products are decent.

Best Japanese Beauty and Skincare Products at Sephora

Now onto Sephoraโ€™s Japanese beauty products. Did you know Sephora only carries two well-established Japanese beauty brands? For many years, Shiseido and SKII were the only true Japanese beauty companies at Sephora. As of 2025, I notice that Sephora now carries DAMDAM Tokyo, which is their third Jbeauty line to be stocked. Although this skincare company is headquartered in Tokyo, I need to say that I was just in Japan recently, and I did not see these products sold at department stores or drugstores. I donโ€™t know that theyโ€™re very popular (yet). Time will tell if it really catches on within Japan, or if it will be like the Japanese equivalent of Beauty of Joseon and more popular overseas for their โ€œJbeautyโ€ marketing.

Best SKII Products at Sephora

SKII is known for pretty much one thing: Pitera Essence. This is their viral facial treatment thatโ€™s mean to prevent signs of aging. Itโ€™s very pricy, but basically everyone in the Asian beauty world recognizes SKII Facial Treatment Essence as the height of anti-aging luxury. Does it work? I donโ€™t really know. But it sure is nice.

Best Shiseido Skincare at Sephora

I love Shiseido skincare. I remember my mom introducing Shiseido to me as a teenager, saying itโ€™s what her AND my grandma both use religiously. They still use Shiseido to this day! Which means itโ€™s a great idea for a Motherโ€™s Day or Christmas gift (hint hint).

My favorite skincare line from Shiseido is their Benefiance line, which is specifically for mature skin and targets wrinkles. I have used this entire line before, and I loved every one. Just to note: Shiseido products are VERY gentle. That means they are great for sensitive skin, like mine. However, if youโ€™re looking for intense, drastic changes to your skin in a short amount of time, this is maybe not the line for you.

Iโ€™ve also used Shiseidoโ€™s Ultimmune serums before. They feel so good on the skin and make my skin look and feel overall healthier.

Lately, Iโ€™ve also really liked Shiseidoโ€™s sunscreens! Check out my best Japanese sunscreens post for more information on those.

Best Shiseido Makeup at Sephora

Alasโ€ฆ Sephora does NOT carry my favorite makeup products from Shiseido. I do love Shiseidoโ€™s SynchroSkin line, but the stick concealer I use isnโ€™t carried there.
