This was amazing on our first try! I wanted to try it so badly that I used thawed frozen broccoli and cauliflower and regular mayo and it still came out perfectly! Wow I’m hooked. Thank you so much!
]]>Came out absolutely revolting. No fluff at all the be batter and the second flour coating left the shrimp powdery and gross, plus the mayonnaise makes it vinegary. Had to scrape all the ‘batter’ off. Awful.
]]>I also made a dipping sauce using bone broth instead of dashi, rice vinegar instead of mirin, stevia instead of sugar, and light soy sauce, and that was great too. The program won’t let me enter stars, but if I could, I’d give it seven!
]]>I did this with sweet potato strips, green beans cut in half, and shrimp, and they were all fabulous. Not as greasy as deep-fried, which in my mind is a real plus!
]]>Thanks, Noush! I think many people mistakenly come to this recipe expecting something breaded in panko, but yes, this is truly more in the real tempura style!
]]>Lightest fluffiest tempura ever. I was in a rush when making this, I didn’t measure anything, and it was still perfect! Awesome to have a non crumb air fryer tempura recipe. Thank you.
]]>In reply to Katie.
The measurements are wrong. Too much water for the amount of flour.
]]>Is there no way to simply delete Leslie Farquhar’s useless and nasty comment? You don’t need it at the very top of your page!
]]>Unfortunately this recipe didn’t work for me either. The batter was much sloppier than in the video and just slid off the veggies when trying to do the dry layer. I rechecked the recipe several times to make sure I’d followed it correctly, which I had, so I’m not sure why it turned out so badly. 🙁
]]>This recipe is a joke! Tempura in air fryer does not work at all! I can see that you have HATERS from your words because trusting your recipes takes a lot of time to prepare for mediocre results!!!
